Abstract:【Objective】 To study the application of digital video collection and compression technology in routine diagnosis and treatment of digestive endoscopy. 【Methods】 The digital video collection and archiving system was constructed by us , and real-time motive videos were collected and backed up in diagnosis and treatment of digestive endoscopy. The digital videos collected by video collection cards with compression format of Motion-JPEG and H.264 were respectively compared between each other. 【Results】 Real-time digital motive video collection by digital video collection and compression technology in diagnosis and treatment of digestive endoscopy was convenient. Videos compressed by H.264 format were little poorer than those compressed by Motion-JPEG format, but the volumes of videos compressed by H.264 format were more smaller. Finding ratio and diagnosis ratio of pathological changes by retrospective video were not significantly different from those by real-time examination(P >0.05). 【Conclusion】 Real-time digital motive video collection by digital video collection and compression technology in diagnosis and treatment of digestive endoscopy is feasible. The digital videos collection and archiving by video collection cards can be applied to diagnosis and treatment of digestive endoscopy, and should be a integrated part in routine work of digestive endoscopy.
