Abstract:【Objective】 To explore the effect of transurethral plasma kinetic enucleation of prostate (TUPKEP) and resection (PKRP) for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia and provide the clinical basis. 【Methods】 61 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia were selected from January December to in 2012 in our hospital, 29 cases treated PKRP operation (PKRP group), 32 cases treated TUPKEP (TUPKEP group). Observation index included operation time, operation hemorrhage, resection of the prostate tissue, IPSS, QOL, indwelling catheter time, complications such as postoperative situation. 【Results】 The operation time, bleeding in operation and resection of the prostate weight of TUPKEP group were (98.40 ± 9.36) min, (46.09±4.65) mL and (45.57±5.25) g, compared with PKRP group, the difference was significant (P <0.05). Catheter time of TUPKEP group was (4.39±0.84) d, lower than that in PKRP group (5.19+0.40) d, the difference was significant (P <0.05). TUPKEP group after postoperative bleeding was 3.13% (1/32), lower than that of PKRP group 6.90% (2/29), the difference was significant (P <0.05). 【Conclusion】 Compared with PKRP, TUPKEP has the advantages of small trauma, less bleeding and complications, and it has a high security operation, completed and rapid postoperative recovery of operation method, it is worthy of promotion and application in clinical practice.
