Abstract:【Objective】 To compare the endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) images of esophageal stromal tumor and leiomyoma with the help of photoshop software , and to study its differential diagnostic value. 【Methods】 To collect the EUS images of nine esophageal stromal tumor and forty two esophageal leiomyoma which were confirmed by pathological and immunohistochemical examination and make a image analysis of the regions of interest (ROI) by photoshop software. The mean gray value of the image represents the intensity of echo and the gray value standard deviation of the image represent the uniformity of echo. 【Results】 There was significantly different from esophageal stromal; tumor to esophageal leiomyoma in mean gray value of EUS image (P <0.01). The mean gray value of EUS image of the 9 esophageal stromal tumor was 73.47, the esophageal leiomyoma was 58.08; There was also significantly different from esophageal stromal tumor to esophageal leiomyoma in the mean gray value standard deviation of EUS image (P <0.01), The mean gray value standard deviation of EUS image of esophageal stromal tumor was 21.12, the esophageal leiomyoma was 13.93. 【Conclusion】 The echo intensity of esophageal stromal tumor was generally higher than that of esophageal leiomyoma, and the echo uniformity of the esophageal leiomyomawas better than that of esophageal stromal tumor, photoshop software contributes to the identification of esophageal stromal tumors and esophageal leiomyoma.
