【Objective】 To evaluate the effect of laparoscopic training on improvement of laparoscopic basic skills in participant with different experience. 【Methods】 20 surgeons without laparoscopic surgery experience and 12 surgeons who have performed more than 30 cases of laparoscopic surgeries received training with laparoscopic training boxes and laparoscopic simulators. The surgeons were tested on task 8 of laparoscopic simulator and Global Rating Scales (GRS) were recorded before and after training. 【Results】 The GRS scores had no significant difference between two groups. Both groups got significantly higher scores after training. The performance time of both groups decreased significantly after training., the path length of both instruments, the time cautery without appropriate contact with bands was significantly lower in experience group after training. However, only the path length of left instrument was significantly shorter in the group of surgeons without experience after training. 【Conclusion】 Laparoscopic training is not only helpful to the surgeons without experience, but also to experienced surgeons.
