Abstract:【Objective】 To evaluate the diagnosis value of EST (endoscopic sphincterotomy) in patients with idiopathic pancreatitis combined with duodenal juxtapapillary diverticulum. 【Methods】 Retrospective study of 18 patients with idiopathic pancreatitis combined with duodenal juxtapapillary diverticula were carried out in our hospital for seven years. 【Results】 ERCP were completed in 17 cases out of 18 patients and the success rate was 94.44%, with EST in 17 cases, including 9 cases of middle incision, 8 cases of small incision and balloon dilatation, bile duct stenting in 3 patients, endoscopic nasal bile duct drainage in 14 cases, no severe bleeding, perforation and other complications. 【Conclusion】 EST for the patients with idiopathic pancreatitis combined with juxtapapillary diverticulum is safe and effective, can clarify the etiology, effectively control and prevent recurrence, worthy of clinical application.
