Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical effects of hysteroscopy combined with forceps and tissue resection power system in the treatment of retained products of conception (RPOC).Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 53 patients who underwent hysteroscopic surgery due to RPOC in the hospital from January 2023 to December 2024. According to different surgical methods, they were divided into the combined forceps group (n = 30) and the tissue resection group (n = 23).Results The completion rates of the two groups of patients were 96.7% and 95.7% respectively, the difference was not statistically significant(P > 0.05). The operation time of the combined forceps group was longer than that of the tissue resection group, and the intraoperative blood loss and the number of instrument insertions were more than those of the tissue resection group, the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.05). No complications occurred in two groups. There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in terms of the amount of uterine distension solution used, endometrial thickness measured at 2 weeks postoperatively, or menstrual status (P > 0.05).Conclusion The hysteroscopic tissue resection power system for the treatment of RPOC has less trauma and is more efficient than the commonly used combined clamp surgery. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
