Abstract:Objective To explore the feasibility and clinical effect of laparoscopic operation in the treatment of urachal cyst with infection.Methods Clinical data of 11 cases of urachal cyst with infection from March 2016 to March 2019 were analyzed retrospectively, seven male and four female patients, average age 28 years old, antibiotics were given preoperatively for 3 to 7 d. The scope of operation included urachal, urachal mass, median umbilical ligament and part of bladder.Results All the 11 cases were successfully operated without conversion to open surgery. The average operation time was 136 min, the average hospital stay was 12 d, the average indwelling catheter was 6 d. No serious complications such as recur, incision infection, incisional hernia occurred after operation. The patients were followed up for 1 ~ 5 years without recurrence or malignant change.Conclusion Laparoscopic operation for urachal cyst with infection is a minimally invasive, safe and effective method.
