Abstract:Abstract: Objective?To explore the feasibility and clinical efficacy of endoscopic sinus surgery through the approach combined with inferior nasal meatus in treatment of benign lesions of maxillary sinus.?Methods?Clinical data of 51 cases with benign lesions of maxillary sinus from June 2008 to August 2015 were analyzed retrospectively. We combined IMA to resect residual lesion after MMA, meanwile, we recorded the clinical efficacy on operation and after operation.?Result?Combined with IMA, endoscopic surgery can observe and resect benign lesions of every wall of maxillary sinus well. No complication occurred, such as nasolacrimal duct injury, turbinate atrophy, and infection. After 6 months following-up, all the patients symptoms disappeared gradually, with satisfactory epithelization in maxillary sinus cavities, and with smooth drainage. There is no reccurence of the lesions.?Conclusion?MMA combined with IMA can treat benign lesions of maxillary sinus well, and it can play a main role in treatment of maxilla cyst.
