Abstract:【Objective】 To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ureteroscope via ureteral access sheath for ureteral complicated calculi. 【Methods】 Between August 2012 and May 2015, a total of 36 patients underwent technique of ureteroscope via ureteral access sheath for ureteral complicated calculi were retrospectively analyzed. 【Results】 All cases were stone-free with one procedure, mean operating time was (53.1 ± 26.8) min, and no complications such as fever or ureteral injury happened. 【Conclusion】 Ureteroscopy via ureteral access sheath is a safe and effective option for ureteral complicated calculi, especially for large or multiple distal ureteral stones and steinstrasse. It can keep low pelvic pressure, protect ureter, and remove ureter stones completely. Thus it could be used in clinical practice.
