【Objective】 To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of infarcted angiomatous nasal polyps and improve the recognition of this disease. 【Methods】 Retrospective analysis of the patients treated in our department for infarcted angiomatous nasal polyps of maxillary sinus from 2002 to 2013. 31 patients were treated with endoscopic nasal resection only and 8 cases were treated by endoscopic plus inferior meatus antrostomy approach, 13 patients were treated with endoscopic combined modified Caldwell-Luc technique and 11 cases were treated by endoscopic anterior lacrimal recess approach. 【Results】 All patients were confirmed by histopathology. The follow-up period ranged from 6 months to 10 years and none was found to have recurrence. 【Conclusions】 Endoscopic sinus surgery is the first choice for the treatment of this disease. CT scanning of nasal sinus is an effective way for diagnosis and treatment and final diagnosis depends on biopsy.
