Abstract:To investigate the safety and clinical effect of Da Vinci robot-assisted laparoscopic resection of huge retroperitoneal tumor.?Methods?Clinical data of 5 cases of Da Vinci robot-assisted laparoscopic resection of huge retroperitoneal tumor was retrospectively studied. The surgical skill, complications and effect were analyzed.?Results? All the operations were successfully performed. The patients recovered well, without serious complications, during the 6 to 33 months follow-up, no tumor recurrence occurred in 4 cases. The residual tumor volume decreased obviously after chemotherapy in 1 case with retroperittoneal lymphoma.?Conclusion? The complex huge retroperitoneal tumor can be safely resected by Da Vinci robot-assisted laparoscopy with few complications, and the efficacy is satisfied. The operation can be well completed via retroperitoneal approach as well as transperitoneal approach.
