Abstract:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of endoscopic full-thickness resection in treatment of gastric submucosal tumors. Methods 52 patients with gastric submucosal tumors between December 2015 and June 2017 were enrolled in the study. All the patients were treated with endoscopic full-thickness resection. The surgery success rate, en bloc resection rate, procedure time were analyzed. Complications such as bleeding and perforation were observed in the procedures. All the patients were followed up for evaluation of efficacy and safety. Results 52 patients were recruited into the study. The total number of tumors were 53. The average surgery time was 45.2 (35.0 ~ 78.0) min, the success rate and the en bloc resection rate was 100.0%. The average tumors sizes was 1.5 (1.0 ~ 3.2) cm. The intraoperative bleeding occurred in 2 patients, the incidence rate of bleeding was 3.8%. The tumors were located cardia in 23 patients (43.4%), gastric fundus in 17 patients (32.1%), in gastric body in 10 patients (18.8%), in antrum in 2 patients (3.8%), in gastric angle in1 patient (1.9%). Pathological results of interstitial tumor in 36 patients (67.9%), leiomyoma in 15 patients (28.3%), ectopic pancreas in 2 patients (3.8%). No complications were found during the follow-up of 3 ~ 6 months. The overall effective rate was 100.0%. Conclusion Endoscopic full-thickness resection in treatment of gastric submucosal tumors is effective and safe.
