Abstract:To investigate the clinical efficacy and surgical technique of fragment type septoplasty by nasal endoscope in treatment of patients with Nasal septum deviation. Methods We retrospectively analyzed the patients' characteristics, surgical methods, postoperative complications of 50 patients who received fragment type septoplasty. And the changes of VAS scores and nasal resistance value were observed before operation and six months after. Results Not only the VAS scores but also the nasal resistance values of total and the narrow side of the nasal cavity were significantly lower than that before operation, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). But the reduction of the spacious side nose resistance is not obvious, and the difference is not significant (P > 0.05). Conclusion The fragment type septoplasty by nasal endoscope is a safe and effective method for the treatment of nasal septum deviation, and worthy of clinical application.
