Abstract:Abstract: Objective To compare the clinical effect of tracheal intubation with china-made video intubationscope (VIS) and light wand (LW) in patients with cervical spine injury. Methods 60 patients with cervical spine injury underwent elective surgery were randomly divided into china-made video intubationscope group (group VIS) and light wand group (group LW), 30 cases in each. Orotracheal intubation was respectively guided by china-made video intubationscope (Group VIS) and light wand (group LW). The tracheal intubation time, the times of tracheal intubation, the success rate of intubation and the complications related intubation in the two groups were recorded. Mean arterial pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR) before induction of anesthesia (T1), before tracheal intubation (T2), at 1 min after tracheal intubation (T3), at 3 min after tracheal intubation (T4) and at 5 min after tracheal intubation (T5) were recorded in the two groups. Results The tracheal intubation time was (25.3 ± 13.6) s in Group VIS and was (23.8 ± 12.5) s in group LW, there was no significant difference in tracheal intubation time between the two groups (P > 0.05). There were no significant difference in one-time success rate and total success rate of tracheal intubation between the two groups (93.3% vs 93.3%, 100.0% vs 100.0%) (P > 0.05). Compared with T2, MAP and HR in two groups were increased significantly at T3 ~ T4 (P < 0.05). MAP and HR at T3 ~ T5 were no significant difference between the two groups (P > 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications related intubation between the two groups (10.0% vs 16.7%, P > 0.05). Conclusion Both china-made VIS and LW are suitable for tracheal intubation in patients with cervical spine injury, with a short time of tracheal intubation, high success rate and less complications of intubation, and less influence on hemodynamics of patients.
