Abstract:To evaluate the effect of arthroscopic extraarticular operation in treatment of obstinate tennis elbow. Methods From September 2015 to November 2017, 21 patients of obstinate tennis elbow were treated consecutively. There were 8 males and 13 females, ranging in age from 33~62 years old, with average of 43 years old, and ranging in conservative treatment time from 7~41 months, with average of 15.0 months. 21 patients (total 21 elbows) of obstinate tennis elbow were treated by arthroscopic extraarticular operation. Result All the patients were followed up, and the duration ranged from 6~46 months, with an average of 17.3 months. There was no infection or nerve injury. MEPS, VAS score and main tenderness point tenderness degree were significant differences between preoperative and postoperative. 19 cases were satisfied greatly with treatment results, 2 cases satisfied, 0 case unsatisfied. Conclusion Treating obstinate tennis elbow using arthroscopic extraarticular operation has thorough therapeutic effect. The procedure is intuitive and safe.
