Abstract:Abstract: Objective? To analyze the intensive care units (ICU) mechanical ventilation and pulmonary infection in elderly patients with fiberoptic bronchoscopy lung lavage therapy on the clinical efficacy and effect of calcitonin and cytokines.?Methods?Clinical data of 80 elderly patients with pulmonary infection treated with mechanical ventilation in ICU from April 2015 to April 2017 was analyzed. All the patients were divided into two groups according to different treatment regimens, 40 patients treated with ICU routine treatment as control group, while the other 40 patients treated with combination treatment of fiberoptic bronchoscopy lung lavage as the observation group. Then compare the clinical efficacy, procalcitonin, C-reactive protein and blood gas between the two groups.?Results? In the observation group, the total effective rate is higher than that in control group, and procalcitonin and C reactive protein levels were lower than that in control group (P?0.05); the observation group PaCO2 and PaO2 were better than that in control group (P?0.05).?Conclusion?Fiberoptic bronchoscopy lung lavage therapy can improve the clinical symptoms of elderly patients treated with mechanical ventilation while complicated with pulmonary infection in ICU. Meanwhile, the procalcitonin and C reactive protein and blood gas level of patients were improved. It is worthy of promotion.
