Abstract:Abstract: Objective? To explore the efficacy and safety of placement of Montgomery T silicone stents assisted by bronchofiberscope in the treatment of tracheal stenosis under general anesthesia by larynngeal mask ventilation.?Methods?Clinical materials of 10 patients with tracheal stenosis caused by tracheotomy were analyzed. Changes of quality of life score, dyspnea score, arterial blood gas and voice quality synthetic score before and 1 week after treatment were compared. Complications were also followed.?Results? After the placement of Montgomery T silicone stents treatment, the voice quality synthetic score and dyspnea score decreased significantly (P?0.05), while the PaO2 and quality of life score increased significantly (P?0.05). No serious complications occurred.?Conclusions?Placement of Montgomery T silicone stents assisted by bronchofiberscope in the treatment of tracheal stenosis under general anesthesia by laryngeal mask is effective and safe. It can be used as an option for patients with tracheal stenosis after tracheal intubation.
